The Highlands Living Center is a non-profit skilled nursing facility that also offers adult day care services. The Highlands Living Center opened in June of 1995. Located on the campus of The Highlands of Pittsford, The Highlands Living Center is part of a community that offers residential living, assisted living, nursing care and adult day care.

The Highlands Living Center is a 122 bed facility with a 20 slot Medical Model Adult Day Care. There are 40 private rooms and 41 semi-private rooms. The Highlands Living Center offers a 10 bed Rehabilitation Unit, respite beds and a 4 station Hemodialysis Clinic.

The Hemodialysis program, located on the ground floor of the Highlands Living Center, is equipped with the latest dialysis technology. The convenience of on-site routine Hemodialysis treatments eliminates the need for residents to travel three times a week to receive their care.

The Highlands Living Center offers a full range of services including occupational, physical, music and speech therapies. The Highlands Living Center maintains contracts for Hospice services, Audiology, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, Dental, Diagnostic and beautician/barber services. The facility employs three Gerontologists and a full-time Physician Assistant.

The Highlands Living Center accepts private, Medicare and Medicaid residents. The Medical Model Adult Day Care program accepts private and Medicaid registrants.
