A Music Therapist helps to enrich the lives of residents. A Hospice Care is now in place. A specially equipped van provides transportation for regular outings. Rehabilitation services allow residents to return to their own home or to lower levels of care. The Special Care Unit is specifically designed to serve those exhibiting behavioral symptoms of Alzheimers disease. Residents Council meets monthly and Family Council meets bimonthly in order to allow the opportunity to communicate issues of concern to the staff. Kirkhaven attempts to exceed expectations in all areas, including meals. The breakfast menu is totally selected by residents, within dietary limits. Afternoon and evening menus rotate with choices, and special requests are welcome. There are communal dining rooms on each floor with private dining in visiting rooms available upon request.
