Baird Nursing Home is a privately owned, skilled nursing care center with individual attention to quality nursing care for all residents. The facility is single story for the safety of all residents. It is located on St. Paul Blvd. bordering the town of Irondequoit, opposite Seneca Park. The home-like surroundings are enhanced by a residential setting. There are 12 private rooms and 8 semi-private rooms for a total of 28 residents. Married couples are welcome and may share semi-private room accommodations. Short term admissions are welcome. Visiting hours are not restricted. five star hotel in SorrentoAn Activities Director and Social Worker provide a broad range of social, physical and recreational activities. Picnics are scheduled during the summer months in a garden setting. Television sets and radios are permitted in all residents rooms. Telephone and cable television jacks are located in all rooms, so that a resident may have a private telephone or cable television, if so desired. Barber and beautician services are available to residents on a regularly scheduled basis. Religious services are regularly scheduled. Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy services are available, as are Audiology, dental and podiatry services. Food is served in our combination dining-lounge area or in the residents room depending on his/her choice. The kitchen, located in the 1984 addition, is the latest in design and equipment and is completely fireproof. Excellent home style cooking is served by an in-house dietary staff. In addition, special dietary needs are prepared per physicians orders. Light snacks are available at any time of the day or evening. One lounge is available for family or resident private parties or meetings. The entire building is fully air-conditioned, with controls in each room. A change of air system (filtered) is operational year round, regardless of outside weather conditions, permitting clean air to continuously circulate throughout the building. This is for the additional comfort of residents and staff. The small number of residents in this facility allows the staff to meet the special needs of the residents and encourages a family atmosphere. |
