Formerly Park Hope Nursing Home provides care to 120 residents utilizing a multi disciplinary approach. Located in a mixed residential / commercial neighborhood, the newly renovated St. Mary's complex gives residents a feeling of community involvement. St. Mary's is easily accessible by bus. Nursing staff is on duty 24 hours per day to provide skilled care to residents on 3 nursing units. A Hospice nursing program provides supplemental nursing and supportive care to residents on an individualized basis. Rehabilitation services includes: physical, occupational and speech therapy. Programs are designed to meet individual needs and abilities. The proximity to St. Mary's Brain Injury Unit and St. Mary's total rehabilitation approach makes this facility unique in Monroe county. Recreation therapy offers group and individual programs to enhance a sense of well being. Programs include exercise, music, sensory stimulation, crafts, tea time and bingo. Volunteers are welcome. Utilizing a wheelchair accessible bus, residents are able to enjoy outings. Religious services are also held regularly. A chaplain is available to assist residents with religious needs. Social work staff provide services for residents and family members. In addition, they offer emotional support as well as information to assist in the placement transition. The Residents Council is active. Other medical based services include: dental, ophthalmology, podiatry, Audiology, laboratory and x-ray. |
