Austria InformationSt. Anns has been providing a full range of non-profit services to enhance the quality of life of Rochesters elderly for over 100 years. Residents at St. Anns enjoy the suburban northeast setting on 32 landscaped acres at 1500 Portland Avenue, conveniently located across the street from Rochester General Hospital. Visiting hours are 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. St. Anns Home is a 354 bed long term care skilled health care facility, providing a comprehensive range of medical and nursing care services. Most residents have private rooms, and 8 double rooms are available for couples and relatives, each with a modern, private bathroom. 237 apartment-like suites make up The Heritage, which is dedicated to providing comfort and privacy, combined with excellent medical care. Each suite includes a cozy living and sleeping area, private bath and kitchenettes for breakfasts and snacks. Lunch and dinner are served in a club style dining room. Specialized programs include: rehabilitation, terminal care, mental health services and Alzheimer support groups. Pastoral care services are provided to meet the spiritual needs of many faiths. accommodation in YorkSt. Anns also offers a wide range of recreational activities providing residents an opportunity to continue life-long hobbies, and pursue new leisure interests within both St. Anns and the Rochester community. Regular outings are scheduled to recreational and cultural areas, as well as shopping malls and restaurants. These outings are made possible by St. Anns wheelchair accessible vans. Rochester Transit bus services are also available at the front door. Other facilities and programs at St. Anns include the closed circuit television station (WANN), the Bishop Kearney Auditorium, a library, a beauty and barber shop, an outdoor putting green, the performing arts guild and more. The Home Connection, is an adult day health care program. It enables the elderly and persons with disabilities to live at home and spend their days at the Home Connection, where they can take advantage of fully staffed health services, along with leisure time activities in a safe, secure environment. The Home Connection is open Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Services include personal care and bathing, meals and nutritional counseling, Physical, Occupational and Speech therapies, hearing evaluations, nursing care, podiatry, transportation, dental hygienist services and more, all for one inclusive rate. |
