This facility is a private, skilled nursing home located in a mixed residential and commercial neighborhood. There are 3 single rooms, 15 double rooms, 19 triple rooms and 2 four-bed units, each with a private sink and toilet. Medicare and Medicaid applicants are accepted. Visiting hours are from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

There are 98 residents at Brae Loch Manor. All applicants are accepted, except for alcoholics and drug abusers, unless there are extenuating circumstances. Applicants must be over 16 years of age. There is a waiting list. Short-term stays from one week to two months are possible if rooms are available.

This home is suitable for residents in wheelchairs. There is no chapel, but Catholic and Protestant services are held regularly in the activities room. There are three meals daily with the main meal occurring at noon. Most residents eat breakfast in their own rooms. The main dining room holds 25-30 people; most residents eat in their own rooms or in solariums. Snacks are provided and menus are repeated monthly.

There is a full-time Activities Coordinator and Social Worker who provide a broad range of social, physical and recreational activities. Music, bingo, bird watching, arts and crafts, picnics, movies and socials are activities that are offered. There are Braille signs for the blind. There is an active Residents Council at Brae Loch Manor. Fund-raising, speakers bureau and patients rights are some of the areas of interest for this group.
