The Episcopal Church Home is a not-for-profit residential health care facility, conveniently located on a bus line in the City of Rochester. Staff provides quality care and services that are focused on each residents needs. Residents live in private and semi-private, air-conditioned rooms. Medicare and Medicaid coverage are accepted. Visiting hours are from 10:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. The facility is handicapped accessible. The Admissions Coordinator will gladly provide a tour Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The FacilityThis modern facility serves 177 residents. Those who live in the south wing have private rooms and may bring their own furniture and belongings. Residents in the north wing have a more traditional health care environment, and the rooms have built-in dressers and closets. All rooms have individual bathrooms, including sink and toilet. There are central bathing and showering areas. The lounges are well furnished and equipped with television, card tables, pianos and reading material. In addition, the Home recently completed a fourth story on the north wing which is dedicated to the needs of the residents with Alzheimers or other similar dementias. Gardens and patios are easily accessible to residents, allowing views of the Genesee River and the Rochester skyline. A garden room offers a place for families to visit as well as for residents and volunteers to tend to plants. My Sisters Gallery displays exhibits of local artists on a rotating basis. A hair salon is also available for residents. Programs and ServicesRehabilitation services include occupational, physical and speech therapies. In addition, the Home offers therapeutic recreation on a daily basis. Programming includes small group activities, large group entertainment and outside trips in the Homes handicapped-accessiblevan. An art therapy program is also available to residents. Resident and Family Council meetings are regularly scheduled. Social workers are available to address the concerns of family members and residents. Hospice care can be arranged as needed. At the heart of the Home is the Faith & Activities Center, that is equipped with a loop system for the hearing-impaired. A staff chaplain and other clergy provide support and counseling to residents and their families. Other programs including Bible study are planned by the chaplain. Religious services for people of all faiths are offered to residents on a regular basis. These services are open to the community at large. five star hotel in BremenRegistered dietitians prepare menus which are on a three-week cycle. Substitutions (sandwiches, soups, etc.) and other items are available, including snacks upon request. Residents have input determining the general menu selection. While many residents eat in the main dining room, meals are delivered to those who need extensive supervision or assistance. Guests are always welcome during meals. |
