The slim, minimal design of this deck is actually what strengthens it. When standing on the deck the rider's weight and force are dispersed uniformly through the span of the deck, there is no place for stress to concentrate, keeping the deck strong and suspended. The Dragonfly's center void is designed to give the deck the ability to twist in response to rider movement. When the rider pulls through one turn, rises, and rolls their feet over into the next turn, the center void allows the front of the deck to twist into the next turn, while the back slats are still rounding out of the last one. Creating a board that can make quick, precise edge-to-edge transitions. In addition, when the rider is coming through the apex of a turn their weight and force is transferred unevenly to the ground through the two halves of the deck. The lower half of the deck flexes under the increased pressure and pushes the rider deeper into the turn, forcing the wheels into the ground, coming around for a smooth deep turn every time. | | The two spines at the end of the deck act to wick vibration away from the rider's feet, towards the rear of the board, and out the delicate spines. The effect is a subtle, smooth movement down the hill. Our unique router edges are shaved off at 45deg. along the entire underbelly of the board allowing us to as keep the deck as wide and low as possible, without scraping the ground. The angled edge is also designed to be held and fits nicely into your hand. |
