The T. Franklin Williams', M.D., Foundation at Monroe Community Hospital isa separate, not-for-profit organization that exists to enhance the effortsof Monroe Community Hospital in maintaining its leadership role in thecare and treatment of aged and chronically ill individuals. To fulfillits mission, the Foundation accepts charitable donations on behalf of MCHto support continued excellence in patient care, research and education atMCH.

The T. Franklin Williams, M.D., Foundation, Inc. is proudly namedafter MCH's former medical director and former director of the NationalInstitute on Aging in Washington D.C. Dr. Williams was responsible forestablishing MCH as one of the first geriatri c research, teaching, andclinical care enters in the world with medical residents , faculty, andstaff on site. It was under his leadership that MCH became nationallyrenowned as a center of excellence in the care and treatment of theelderly and chronically ill. MCH Auxiliary
Over the past two decades, theMonroe Community Hospital Auxiliary (MCHAUX) has contributed to all areasof life at the hospital. The Auxiliary operates the facility's gift shopand the MCHAUX Market, which offers residents a convenient and inexpensivewa y to purchase clothing and household items. Through these and otherfunding-raising efforts, the Auxiliary touches the lives of all theresidents staying or living at MCH. Volunteer Services
The residents living at MCHare greatly benefitted through the unselfish efforts of hundreds ofvolunteers ranging in age from teenagers to octogenarians. Our volunteersprovide a variety of important services, including working in the MCH giftshop, assisting with visitation and pastoral care, transporting residentsto special programs within the building, providing musical support, orproviding assistance to various departments and nursing units. Eachvolunteer opportunity allows people to share their unique talents andpersonality with others in our community.
