GENERAL INFORMATION:

In 1920, a group of local women dedicated to serving their communityfounded the Jewish Home of Rochester in a small frame house on St. PaulStreet in the heart of the city. Since then, the Home has outgrown twofacilities before building its present home in 1985, and is continuing to grow with the opening of The Summit at Brighton retirement community andexpanded geriatric medical services.

From its humble beginnings as a 10-bed haven for those in need, to today'sstate-of-the-art health-care facility serving 362 residents and 175 adultday services participants, the Home has sustained an unwavering commitmentto providing seniors with a fulfilling, quality lifestyle while meetingtheir special needs.
