Recuperating from an illness or injury can require professional assistanceand specialized services to help maximize recovery. The Church Home hasan excellent rehabilitation team on staff to assist adults recovering fromtrauma such as a serious fall, stroke, or joint replacement. Ourphysical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy departments worktogether to design an individual care program for each resident. Thisteam approach is effective in improving and maintaining the quality oflife of our residents.

Gmunden hotel roomsPhysical therapists work to restore and maintain strength, balance andmobility. Occupational therapists create programs to increase cognitiveand functional skills, helping residents take better care of themselves.Speech therapists assist residents with speech, language, swallowing andother problems that make social interaction difficult. Followingtreatment, our rehabilitation team assists families in planning for thecare needs of residents who return home. In addition, therapists stayactively involved in the care of residents who remain at The Church Home.
