Terminal or Hospice Care

A philosophy of care offered at Hill Haven, Hospice maximizes quality,comfort, and the physical, social, spiritual and emotional aspects of theend stage of life. As a supplement to our comprehensive nursing homecare, a hospice team can offer added comfort for residents who areterminally ill and choose to avoid aggressive diagnostic work andcurative treatments.

Through a collaboration with Genesee Region Home Care, ourinterdisciplinary team provides terminal care to those at the end of life.This team is tailored to the resident's individualized needs and includesprofessionals from some or all of the following disciplines: medicine,nursing, social work, pastoral care, clinical nutrition, pharmacology,therapeutic recreation, as well as a bereavement coordinator andvolunteers.
