A person who no longer requires intensive hospital services is given thenext level of care through such services as post-operative recovery,extensive wound care, post-stroke care, hospice care, respiratory or pulmonary management, or medical conditioning after a debilitating illness. Payment mechanisms include private pay, Medicaid, Medicare, third-party health insurance, and long term care insurance. |
