Our fellow citizens who need to be in a warm and safe place always havebeen and always will be the main focus of our mission at Fairport BaptistHomes. Services at the 196-bed Alvin C. Foster Residential Health CareFacility (nursing home) consist of a wide variety of levels of care,including skilled nursing care.

Skilled nursing care is for persons whose needs range up toround-the-clock monitoring and extensive nursing care. Some residentsrequire assistance for all the activities of daily living.

At present the 3 East unit, consisting of 60 beds, is designated as theprincipal skilled nursing unit, but this approach to care will changedramatically with the completion by 1999 of a campus renovation and newconstruction project called

The journey to a "new" Fairport Baptist Homes began in March, 1997, andwhen it is complete, From Hallways to Households: Changing the Culture inNursing Homes will have come to fruition.
