Volunteer support provides a vital link between our members and the community. At The Friendly Home and Linden Knoll, we offer a variety of opportunities for volunteers, ranging from placing flower arrangements, to helping to run activities, to visiting one-on-one with Members, all geared toward enhancing our Members' quality of life, and providing a rewarding experience for those providing the services.

The Friendly Council was established in 1989 to provide a source of volunteers to serve on the Board of Directors as well as standing and special committees of both the Board and Council. Whether serving cookies to our members during our Spring Tea, or helping to collate a large mailing, Council members fill a vital role in our fulfillment of our mission.
