VolunteersThere are many ways that volunteers can help with Family Service ofRochester and our programs. We especially welcome groups to volunteer evenon a one time basis. Many of our programs also seek assistance from thecommunity with food baskets and gifts at the holiday times. Family Service of Rochester Foundation
Since its beginning in 1911, Family Service of Rochester has depended uponthe generosity of the Rochester community for its funding. Recently, thesedevelopment efforts were organized into the Family Service of RochesterFoundation. Family Service of Rochester continues to depend uponcorporate and foundation support, as well as individual contributions tomaintain its current programs and to initiate projects that address thechanging needs of our community.
The Foundation's current activities are:
Annual Giving:
Coordinating activities that encourage regularcontributions to Family Service of Rochester for programs and servicedelivery, such as our annual appeal and our membership organization,Friends of Family Services.
Planned Giving:
Encouraging individuals to invest in the future role of Family Service ofRochester in our community through one of several planned givingopportunities. Join the many individuals from our community who have lefta lasting legacy with Family Service of Rochester chester to continue ourtradition of helping people to help themselves.
Special Events:
Presenting memorable community activities that raise both funds for andawareness of Family Service of Rochester, e.g. our Family Service AnnualDinner.
